OKCAG Skirmish 6-14-09 in Harrah AAR

We had a great day of Airsoft today with 23 in attendance. Teams were 13 green vs 9 tan. Thank you to all the players that traveled to attend the games.

Weather was manageable, light rain and cloud cover in the morning with the sun breaking through in the afternoon.

We ran the games today on a modified medic / respawn rule. No respawns for non medic players, medics are the only respawn available with a 2 minute physical touch to revive and return to play.

The first game was tan is to assemble a mobile base of operations and be prepared to defend it. We decided to place the objective in the west parking area to give green an open field to cross to capture it. We set up our defenses through the trees bordering the objective. Green was relentless in their attacks feeling out our defenses. While I couldn't see it, there were some massive exchanges on the fort side. On my side, Freak managed to sneak to within about 50 feet of me from behind. I turned and we killed each other. As Kill Happy attempts to medic me, about half a dozen green come out of the woods and make short work of him. Green kills both of our medics and controls the respawn point so they take the first game. Nice teamwork green.

We took a break for lunch as the sun came out and the temperature increased.

For the second game, tan is to set up defenses to keep green from controlling the communications station. We split into 2 fire teams and each defended a side of the field. Green managed to push along the west side of the field, putting the objective in danger so we pulled our defensive screen back to the comm station to increase our defensive numbers against a larger force. We had a large number of exchanges from green at the post office and the cabinet shop. Green manages to whittle us down to no medics and pushed us out of the comm station. Again, green employed excellent tactics and communication. Great job JJ and Kraut on your leadership.

It was an enjoyable day of airsoft and thanks again to all who came out to play.

When you have secured the area, make sure the enemy knows it too.

I for one had fun and got shot up alot. I got home and my wife felt my pain as she saw my face, my neck, and my back. What's pain without alittle whelps! Being a medic along with Fade was a different pace for me and I know I don't want to do it again!
Thank to Arkus as C.O. over tan and two-fiddy as X.O. and JJ and Kraut over Green. Irish, Cracker, Claymore, and Freak, thanks for playing with us. I would hope you guys come down more often and play! All in all it was fun and it was worth shooting it up with you guys!
To KingKyle and the ones that lit me up all day, especially "HARDCORE" Irish, it's all cool. You guys had to kill us medics to keep us out of the game. That's what the game is all about!

It's not whether you get knocked down, but whether you get up again!

sorry about lighting you up kill.
If you don't have a fifty caliber weapon, you don't have a real weapon. A weapon is something that makes your enemies go oh s**t, im screwed!
