Oklahoma City Airsoft Group

Some buddies and I on another site have been discussing a style of gun to start using that everyone here I know has heard of: The gas blow back rifle.

I know most people haven't really used them (to my knowledge) and was more curious about experiences with the brands them selves. The brands I am mostly concerned with is the clone AGM and WE Tech. ( WA is way out of my price range.)

Now I have already hit up You Tube, Google, etc, but would also like to hear from some people I have played airsoft with. (Even though it's been damn forever. )

So anyone have any experience with those two brands? Construction, pot metal, wearing out, compatibility, etc etc.

Not even close to worth it. I sold my WE almost immediately.

Basically, it's a fun gun to goof around with, but it is not skirmishable. It will never match a decent AEG in performance, reliability, cost (of everything), ease of maintenance, and so forth. If you don't mind constant tinkering, spending lots of money, and making up for lost performance, go right ahead.
But, if you want some "recoil", they're great! Honestly, the only GBB rifle I would skirmish with would be a decent Sun Project or other enhanced classic.

Well thats what I thought too. That it would be fun to goof around with, but not practical. But from what i have been seeing here lately is a revamped version. (Supposedly) And that the only real limits to the gun carrying extra gas for mags, having enough mags, and if you shoot too much on full auto then you have the cool down problem.

Some plus's are simpler maintenance (from what I currently understand), you can submerge them in water, (perfect for my dealings with MCHA and future RECONDO), and I can't work on a AEG to save my life. Lol.

What kind did you have Kraut? I remember someone had a WE or WA? Was that you and which did you have? What were your views on it's build?
