Kashistan 1/18/09 AAR

We had a lot of new faces for this game, with JP and Rowdy coming out (on the injured reserve) to take pictures and officiate the proceedings. Jager, DocDodge and Alpha, the SENIOR Kashistan players stood as knowledgeable field scouts, and the sides were split between tan and green the best we could, what with ACU and multicam and several other varieties in attendance. Alpha quickly turned over the reins to Netman (who was supplying a good portion of our team), and relaxed into the role of grunt third class.

First scenario was a downed pilot in the woods between club med and the com building, with JP standing in as the pilot. Jager's team (tan) came in fast, and found the pilot, taking him back to the com building, and setting up a defense that through fine radio communication held fast. Tan took a few hits, but was in command for most of the scenario, and finally bled green out. DocDodge (who was never hit) was called away to administer to the ill, but reinforcements arrived to keep the sides stocked.

Second scenario (an idea also from JP) went to madbush as the prize, with tan jumping off at daisy flats, and green from donkey flats. Green arrived first with a split force and took up residence at madbush. The other half of green was to flank tan but was in turn flanked and led to an engagement at some distance from madbush. Finally tan threw back the green flankers, and turned on madbush. At first they were repelled, but once again with superior radio traffic, were able to bleed out green. This was a very good firefight, with a lot of action. Jager was on a tear on this one, actually circling madbush a couple times. Jager retired at this point with an outstanding day.

Third scenario was again thought up by JP, who suggested an important item be searched for in the club med area, and when found returned to base and defended. Green was based at the com building, and tan at firebase Wolf. Tan arrived so quickly that when green got to the club med area, tan was already in possession of the prize, and withdrawing to Wolf to defend their prize (JJ must have sprinted the whole way). Green divided into two groups to get to Wolf and attack. Alpha and Porter 2 got hung up in the heavy brush and were slow to respond, but once there found Netman had placed the rest of the force quite strategically. Netman and Alpha moved south and east to try and flank tan while the rest of the team engaged them. There was an energetic firefight, and finally green was able to put the entire tan team out of action for a lone win on the day.

If you were at this skirmish, please post your observations of the day because I obviously saw the games from only one point of view. This was a most enjoyable day, and one much needed after the holiday overeating.
