Goggle Question?

Postby ViolentCrime on Sun Sep 27, 2009 1:06 pm

Ok, im re-doing most of my rig and i think its about time i gave my old JT crap-tastic goggles the retirement they deserve. i was wondering what you guys thought about the wiley-x SG1 v series or the Spear Tactical. the SG1v are convertible from standard sunglass type, to full strap goggles. and both have mil-spec rated lens. another question i had would be would the SG1's be acceptable on the field.

I've heard nothing but fogging issues with the SGI1s.
Personally, I really like my ESS NVG Profiles. They can be had for around $60 at Clothing Sales at the BX. A little technique I do is I tear the foam from around the side vents to allow better airflow. The only time they've fogged up on me was on really humid days when I'm sweating rivers and am not moving. Aside from ESS Turbofans, they're the best one's I've used yet.

I picked up a pair of ESS Profiles off eBay for $30 shipped, a great deal... somebody at an OKCAG game recommended to tear the foam out and it works a hell of a lot better now.
