FS: Vietnam Gear

Postby Silenoz on Sat Aug 16, 2008 12:48 am

Well, after trying to get into some Vietnam style airsoft I came to the conclusion there isn't too much interest here and it's too expensive for me to travel to the 'Namsoft games. So I have the my gun and gear up for grabs. I would like to sell it as a whole but I'm not picky. I can also deliver in person at one of the games to save on shipping. Ok, whats in the bag!

In the picture is:

~Echo1 M16a1 /w 2 mags. The gun is literally brand new. Never skirmished.
~M1956 Web Gear. Comes with several ammo puches, 2 canteen covers with canteens (one even has the '42 cup) and a couple other pouches.
~A helmet liner with steel pot. (I think it's VN style)
~And a web belt I have no clue as to what it is. Just got it for cheap.
*NOT PICTURED
~USMC Ka-Bar knife /w Non period sheath.

For a price range this is what I paid for the gear:
M16-$180
M56-$60
Helmet-$30
Ka-Bar-$40 (I got a deal on it. Magazine I have had it for $55)
Other Stuff-$???
I'll use what I get out of this to build up my other impressions so they look better, The gear should be able to be used at Eastwind and BattleSim's 'Nam events. If you have any questions just ask. As far as a price, you guys know your stuff. Make me and offer and we can haggle it out.

*M16 IS GONE*

Sorry to bump this.

That web belt that you've got with all the small pouches on it is most likely a World War II or Korean War era cartridge belt for the M1 Garand or Springfield 1903 rifles. You might check the date on it; I've seen those belts go for $90 and up at gun shows. I got one for $20, mistakenly thinking it was a World War II belt, when it was in fact a World War I Springfield 03 belt dated 1919! Some people don't know what they're selling.

I also wouldn't be so quick to sell your M1956 gear. That's stuff's canvas, which is much quieter than the newer nylon.

Sorry been off here a while......havent played even longer.

If you look in my original post someone snatched the M16 a ways back. Now I am not sure if you were just wanting a M16 or if your getting into Vietnam Era Mil-Sim. If your getting into the Mil-Sim part I still have everything else mentioned. I also have a M14 that is peroid correct with one exception: The heat shield which is black and not brown. But thats a $15 fix I believe.

@Ian- I had some guys look at it and most of it is ~1958 and some of the other is ~1965. I'll try to find the info and edit this post for it.

Oh and if Arkus reads this: Saftey Kill.

If you still have the Ka-Bar, id be interested in buying it.
If you don't have a fifty caliber weapon, you don't have a real weapon. A weapon is something that makes your enemies go oh s**t, im screwed!
