I propose the idea we have an American flag and pole on the playing feild and raise it even if we are not playing. We have some men and women who are serving here at home and abroad, and I think it would be an honor for them to see that we remember and honor them even on the playing feild. At game's end, it will be up to the admins to lower it or leave it raised. I am willing to donate the flag, pole and time to do this. I feel like this is one more step to pay our respects and to honor both the men and women serving and the men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom!

Good idea.

Me and my dad put two flagpoles up on my property in Texas a while back; one with a TX flag and the other a US flag.

Flagpoles can run pretty expensive, though, so be careful. My dad got ours off craigslist for pretty cheap ($400 for two). Got them from a building contractor who didn't need them. That's probably your best bet to find a cheap flagpole that won't kill the budget.

The Cheyenne Fire Department has a flagpole that they are going to vote on donating to OKCAG. I will donate the flag and the time to put it in if Chopper allows me to. It's alot bigger than what I expected but it's free! I am not going to complain.
